Ingredients

  • ½ banana medium-sized
  • 1 tablespoon buckwheat dry weight
  • pinch cinnamon
  • water

Instructions

  • Put the buckwheat into a pot, cover with water and bring to a boil.
  • Continue cooking over low-to-medium heat, stirring regularly until the buckwheat absorbs the water, about 10 minutes.
  • In the meantime, peel the banana and mash with a fork.
  • Once the buckwheat is cooked, allow to cool, mix with the banana and cinnamon and blend into a smooth puree by adding boiled water if necessary. Add teaspoon by teaspoon of boiled water until you reach your desired consistency.

Notes

Suitable for babies 6 months +
Mix in a blender. If you want a really smooth puree, you will need to make it in a blender. This is because the buckwheat seeds are really small and in order to make them into a puree a blender must be used.
Allow the buckwheat to cool a bit before blending. If you want to have a nice and compact puree, I recommend you wait 5 - 10 minutes after the buckwheat is cooked before joining it with the banana into a puree.
