Strawberry Milk (2 ways)

Easy delicious homemade strawberry milk recipe that can be made in 2 different ways, with sugar or without and using either frozen or fresh strawberries. Great drink for kids and adults.

Ingredients

For blender version

  • cup strawberries
  • 2 cup milk
  • pinch salt
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional)

Syrup version

  • cup strawberries
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • ½ cup water

Instructions

By blending fresh strawberries (sugar-free version)

  • This is a sugar-free healthy strawberry milk option.
  • In a high speed blender combine strawberries, milk and salt (and sweetener if using)
  • Blend until smooth and serve.

By using strawberry syrup

  • Wash the strawberries and trim the greens.
  • In a saucepan combine strawberries, sugar, water.
  • Bring to boil and then reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes.
  • Once the mixture is reduced and combined, remove from the stove.
  • Take a fine mesh strainer and strain the mixture through a funnel into a bottle or glass container where you will keep the strawberry syrup in. (You could also blend it in a high speed blender).
  • Add 4 tablespoon of strawberry syrup per cup of milk and combine to get delicious drink.
  • Store the syrup in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

  • pinch of salt brings out the flavor of the strawberries
