3tablespoonsunflower seeds
3tablespoonflaxseed
2tsp ground cinnamon
¼tsp sea salt
3tablespoonliquid coconut oil
3tbsp peanut butter or other nut butter
2teaspoonvanilla extract
Optional and no necessary
2 tbsp sweetenerhoney, agave syrup, maple syrup, date syrup
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 150°C / 300°F
In a large bowl place the rolled oats, chopped and whole nuts (blended for baby), flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, cinnamon and salt.
Mix thoroughly.
In a small bowl add melted coconut oil, peanut butter and vanilla extract and mix.
Pour the oil peanut butter mixture over the rolled oats mixture and mix until it looks like everything is incorporated.
Spread the mixture evenly on a stainless steel baking tray and press down on it so it sticks.
Bake for 30 minutes. Make sure you check on it periodically so it doesn't burn. This will depend on your oven.
For muesli type granola - Once it comes out of the oven mix it through with a wooden spoon.
For Granola Clusters
To make granola clusters you will need a binding agent that is more sticky. For me the best would be honey. So add 3 tablespoons of honey to the mixture once all the ingredients and already mixed. This will make the granola stick together. Once it is out of the oven, let it cool and then you will be able to bread larger granola pieces.
