Buckwheat Pear

A tasty puree for a baby just starting on solids. It's packed with vitamins and minerals as well as a load of fiber to really keep the digestive system moving.

Ingredients

  • 1 pear
  • 2 tablespoon buckwheat

Instructions

  • Soak the buckwheat overnight prior to cooking
  • Put the soaked buckwheat into a pot with water and bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer until the buckwheat has absorbed all the water
  • Wash, peel, and grate the pear
  • Add the pear to the buckwheat when about half the water has been absorbed
  • Once the buckwheat has fully absorbed the water and pear has softened, allow to cool for at least 5 minutes
  • Blend in a blender or food processor and split into 2 servings
