Ingredients

Dry ingredients

  • ½ cup sesame seeds
  • ½ cup sunflower seeds
  • ¼ cup flaxseeds
  • 2 tbsp psyllium powder

Wet ingredients

Additional

  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon basil

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 150°C / 300°F.
  • Prepare the seed mixture. Take a large bowl and put the sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, whole flax seeds and psyllium husk powder in the bowl and mix with a rubber spatula. Add the spices and sea salt here also.
  • Boil the water. Boil the water and once the water is boiling, add the coconut oil.
  • Pour the coconut oil water mixture over the seed mixture.
  • Wait. Let it sit for about an hour until your dough forms.
  • Spread the cracker mixture. After 1 hour, line a baking tray (size in recipe notes) with parchment paper and line the cracker mixture on the baking tray in a thin layer. You can use a rolling pin to roll it evenly. Using a knife or pizza cutter, make lines to portion out individual crackers, or leave the mixture as is and once it is done you will be able to tear apart the crackers.
  • Bake in the oven for about 45 minutes until they are golden brown. (Baking time may vary depending on how thin the layer of cracker mixture is).
  • Serve these crispy crackers with your favorite dip, homemade sweet paprika hummus, maybe some almond butter or pack it in a lunch box:).

Notes

We use a stainless steel, tray that is 19.6''x 13.5''x1.2'' (49 cm x 34 cm x 3 cm)
