Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius / 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Gently grease an 5x7 inch inches (13 x 18 centimeters) pan or line with parchment paper.
Mix all the wet ingredients together in a large mixing bowl.
In a separate bowl, combine all the dry ingredients except the chocolate chips.
Now add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix gently with a silicone spatula or a whisk.
Gently add the chocolate chips and fold into the oatmeal batter. Leave a few chocolate chips to add on top.
Pour into the pan and even the surface with your spatula and add the remaining chocolate chips.
