Equipment

Ingredients

  • 6 larger carrots
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves (crushed)
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 220 C / 450 F and take a large baking sheet and cover with parchment paper.
  • Peel the carrots using a vegetable peeler and cut them into pinky finger length and width.
  • Place them in a large bowl and add the olive oil, crushed garlic, carrot fries seasonings and mix throughly with your clean hands so that each carrot stick is coated.
  • Line the carrot sticks on a baking tray in an even layer. These need to be in a single layer in order to have crispy carrot fries.
  • Place in the oven for 25 minutes. You can turn them midway.  The cooking time will depend on your oven so you may want to bake them longer.
