To make these chicken meatballs for baby and kids, follow these simple recipe steps: 

  1. Preheat the oven: Set the oven to 180℃ / 350℉.
  2. Prepare the vegetables: Peel and cut the onion and garlic into smaller pieces.
  3. Mix ingredients: In a large bowl, combine minced chicken, onion, and garlic.
  4. Add remaining ingredients: Incorporate the beaten egg, panko crumbs, salt, and pepper; mix until well-combined.
  5. Form meatballs: Shape the mixture into small meatballs using your hands, the size of ping pong balls.
  6. Bake: Place meatballs on a parchment-lined baking tray, spray with olive oil, and bake for 15 minutes.
  7. Flip and bake again: After 15 minutes, flip the meatballs, sprinkle with olive oil, and bake for an additional 15 minutes.

​You can either serve them as a puree if you have a small baby or for an older one or a baby-led weaning one you can cut them up into halves or quarters depending on their size. 

Can You Cook These Meatballs for Baby?  

Absolutely. I like to bake them just because it is easier but you can actually also cook them in sauces such as tomato sauce or mushroom sauce.

EQUIPMENT

  • Stainless Steel Baking Trays

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken minced
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 tablespoon panko crumbs
  • salt, pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 180℃ / 350℉.
  • Peel the onion and garlic and cut into tiny pieces.
  • Put the onion and garlic into a large bowl and mix with the minced chicken.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients, including the beaten egg and mix until you have a compact mixture.
  • Using your hands, form little meatballs, the size of ping pong balls.
  • Place parchment paper on a baking tray and line up the chicken meatballs.
  • Spray them with some olive oil and bake for 15 minutes.
  • After 15 minutes take the meatballs out of the oven, turn them around, sprinkle again with olive oil and return to the oven for another 15 minutes.  
  • Serve and enjoy!

Tip: serve with a sauce and some fresh veggies for best taste!
