How to make ants on a log snack?
This is such an easy and great recipe where you can get your kids to help you make it.
Cutting celery and spreading peanut butter on it helps them with their gross motor skills, placing and counting raising teaches them simple math and spatial awareness.
To make the traditional ants on a log snack follow these steps:
- Remove the celery sticks from the celery stem.
- Wash and scrub the sticks from any ground.
- Cut them into finger lengths
- Spread peanut butter on the dented part of the celery stick.
- Add raisins so it looks like the ants are on a log
Tip: Oily peanut butter wont work. If using natural peanut butter (so 100% peanut butter) then the bottom of the jar will usually have the thickest part of the peanut butter which will stick perfectly for this healthy snack recipe.
